From yesterday evening, Tuesday 7 April, and for 15 days, a four-story strip of the Intesa Sanpaolo skyscraper in Turin will be lit up with the colors of the Italian flag. “A small zero impact initiative – said the president of the Bank Gian Maria Gros-Pietro – which it contains a message of encouragement and closeness towards everyone. With this symbolic luminous embrace, together with the numerous concrete actions undertaken in recent days to help in the emergency, we hope that further positive contributions will materialize, supporting people's morale as much as possible".
The Covid-19 emergency sees the Intesa Sanpaolo Group among the main contributors to fighting the pandemic and supporting people, businesses and territories. The Bank has donated 100 million euros for treatment and hospitals through an agreement with the Extraordinary Commissioner and the Civil Protection and 1 million for scientific research on the Coronavirus through the Charity Fund. Furthermore, it has activated a general moratorium on the payment of mortgages, loans and financing, allocated significant lines of credit and liquidity for companies, implemented free insurance coverage and solutions to encourage smart working.
The skyscraper that "wears" the Tricolore will be visible in the evening, from about 20 to 24 pm, and in the early morning, from 5 to 8 am. In particular, they will be the east facade, towards the city, and the west, towards the Alps , to light up in green, white and red, thanks to the use of some low environmental impact LED projectors, positioned in the band already intended for safety lighting. The effect will be visible in the upper part of the building, corresponding to floors 26 to 29.
