An "informal" summit on terrorism and immigration will be held in Hanover on Monday 25 April in which Francois Hollande, Barack Obama, Angela Merkel, David Cameron and Matteo Renzi will participate - There is no definite agenda yet.

With the terrorism alarm still high and while confirmations are arriving of one of the most serious tragedies in the Mediterranean, with the possible death of 500 migrants a few days ago, an "informal" summit on terrorism and immigration will be held in Hanover on Monday 25 April which Francois Hollande, Barack Obama, Angela Merkel, David Cameron and Matteo Renzi will participate. There is still no definite agenda for the topics of the summit, specified the spokeswoman for the German government, Christiane Wirtz, adding that Angela Merkel has invited the heads of state and government to discuss "many issues of international politics", from situation in Syria to that in Libya, up to immigration.
The summit will certainly discuss the most serious crises of the moment: Syria, Libya, the immigration emergency, but Russia and Ukraine will also be discussed. Merkel, defined this 5 format as a kind of G7 without Canada and Japan.

Obama's trip to Berlin on Monday had been scheduled for some time, for the inauguration of the Hanover Fair, one of the most important in the world. In a statement, the White House reported that during the summit, Obama hopes to address with European colleagues the issues of joint efforts against terrorism and "the need for greater information sharing".
