Terna, half-yearly report: surge in profits (+40,9%)

Good news also from the other balance sheet items: revenues of 796,2 million against 762,6 in 2010 (+4,4%) – Ebitda goes from 569,5 to 608,4 million (+6,8%) and Ebit from 397,1 to 415,7 million (+4,7%) – The company confirms the 2011 targets.

Good performance by Terna in the first half of 2011. The energy company led by Flavio Cattaneo closed the half year with a net profit of 329,2 million, an increase of 40,9% compared to the 233,6 million produced in the same period of the 'Last year. The data was approved today by the Board.

The other balance sheet items were also positive. As at 31 June, revenues amounted to 796,2 million, against 762,6 in 2010 (+4,4%). Ebitda went from 569,5 to 608,4 million (+6,8%) and Ebit from 397,1 to 415,7 million (+4,7%). Investments in traditional activities increased by 16,1%, from 467,7 to 543,1 million. Net financial debt is equal to 4.972,6 million euros and records an increase of 250,2 million euros compared to the figure at the end of 2010 (4.722,4 million).

From the company they let it be known that "on the basis of the results achieved in the first half of the year and the current forecasts on the management trend for the coming months, it is believed that, at the end of the year, the Terna group will achieve the objectives for the current year envisaged in the Strategic Plan 2011-2015”.
