Terna signs a new industrial relations protocol with the unions

Terna and sindacati they signed a new one industrial relations protocol to “define an innovative model of participation and dialogue”. The company that manages the Italian electricity grid writes in a note, explaining that the goal is to "effectively accompany the great challenges generated by the energy transition, by the processes of digitization and technological innovation, as well as by the effects produced by the pandemic".

In addition to the confirmation of the already existing bilateral bodies (bilateral health, safety and environment body and bilateral training and employability body), the document also provides for the establishment of a new Committee and two other bilateral bodies.

Il new Consultation Committee on group strategic guidelines, which will have the character of a consultative body and will meet before the definition of the next industrial plan, will be the venue where the trade union organizations will be able to highlight topics of common interest and elaborate proposals for the subjects of competence. The Committee will also meet in cases of particularly relevant information to be shared (such as, for example, that relating to transformations, acquisitions, corporate sales and reorganization projects of general scope), in order to analyze the scenarios and any economic, production and employment. The Committee will also have the task of monitoring the progress of the group's investments.

The new Bilateral welfare body has the objective of sharing the initiatives related to corporate welfare, as well as the task of analyzing the trend of structural smart working in Terna, regulated with the agreement of 9 November 2020, which provides for up to 2 days a week of work in agile.

The company led by Stefano Donnarumma and the trade union organizations have also agreed on the establishment of theBilateral body equal opportunities, diversity and inclusion, whose task is to formulate recommendations and promote initiatives aimed at allowing equal opportunities in access to work, at combating the pay gap between men and women and at promoting the inclusion of diversity.

In addition to the development of bilaterality, the protocol also provides a precise definition of the ways in which the dialogue will be carried out between the company and the trade unions. Terna will also provide the signatory trade union organizations with a virtual bulletin board on the company intranet where they can publish press releases and other information material on trade union and labor issues.
