Terna and Digital Magics reward Smart Track

Terna and Digital Magic have awarded Smart Track as the winning startup or SME Call for Innovation D2O – Digital To Operation, an initiative launched in May with the aim of improving the effectiveness of work with particular reference to issues of personal safety through the development of new technologies, devices, applications and services with high added value capable of creating "digital transformation".

Smart Track took the win by developing a “connected worker” IoT platform for worker safety. The idea is based on new generation sensors, proprietary wearable devices capable of verifying the correct use of the operator's PPE (personal protective equipment), detecting his accidental fall to the ground, man/machinery/robot interactions and managing automatically company evacuation plans to minimize intervention times and save more human lives.

Among the finalists were Brochesia, COZE, Gilytics, HeadApp, HSE-Chiamo, JOBSAFER, Messagenius, Proteso, Smart Track™ and Underd.

The winners received a prize of 15 euros, while Terna will offer the 10 finalists the opportunity to undertake a development and Open Innovation process right within one of the group's reference offices.
