On the occasion of the inauguration of the Tyrrhenian Lab, Terna launched its TikTok channel proposing training and information content linked to the master's degree at the higher education centre: focus on innovation and energy transition.

Terna, the company that manages the national electricity grid, opens up to young people by launching a profile on TikTok, the most loved social network by generation z.

The landing on the famous social follows the launch of the Tyrrhenian Lab, the advanced training center that recently inaugurated the first master's degree in "Digitalisation of the electricity system for the energy transition".

The first protagonists of the new Terna profile there will be two creators Francis Centemeri, engineering student (alias frartenzo) ed Elisa Negrisolo, new engineer and influencer (elisavittoria).

Terna on TikTok: Training and information content

The contents that Terna decided to propose on TikTok will be training and information related to the master and aimed at Generation Z, to students and graduates passionate about STEM subjects (Science, Technologies, Engineering and Mathematics). In addition to the videos of the creators, there is also an explainer format, with an informative slant, 'Did you know that?', created in collaboration with the master, and 'Voci dal Master', with special correspondents in the universities and with the students as protagonists. There were also in-depth analyzes on current issues most linked to energy ('Te lo spiego facile'), without neglecting the lightness and comedy tone that guide the platform, thanks to 'games of logic' and 'tips' to enhance one's talent.

The opening of the TikTok channel it is part of a larger one Terna's strategy, in the context of Tyrrhenian Lab which aims to train young people attentive to the issues of innovation and energy transition.

Talent at the heart of Terna's strategy

In the previous months, Terna had already launched a talent attraction campaign on the topics 'Brain drain' and 'Are you nerd', per promote the II level master of the Tyrrhenian Lab, reaching around 2 million people within the 24-35 age target.

Talent is at the heart of Terna's action, of its own Terna Academy and of the Tyrrhenian Lab, the project in which the company will invest a total of 100 million euros in the next five years. Terna will select and train young people in its training center of excellence, set up in close collaboration with the Universities of Cagliari, Salerno and Palermo and distributed in the cities where the cables of the Tyrrhenian Link, the submarine power line that will unite Campania, the Sicily and Sardinia. The selected young people will start a 12-month university master's program focused on the development of technological and strategic skills functional to digital transformation and energy transition and subsequently, once their studies have been completed, they will be hired in the respective Terna local offices.

Terna is present on all the main social channels as well as on the main audio platforms, such as Spotify and Spreaker, with “Nora, the future of energy is our business”, the nine-part podcast that talks about the Tyrrhenian Lab project to energy enthusiasts.
