No extension in sight: those who live in a condominium with central heating have until December 31st of this year to install thermostatic valves with heat meters on their radiators. And families who have not yet moved will do well to hurry, because if you don't comply with the legislation in time, you risk a fine from 500 to 2.500 euros, depending on what is established by the individual regions.
Moreover, it is an operation that will be good for the wallet as well as the environment, because it will guarantee savings on the annual bill to be paid in the future.
Of course, the sum to be paid immediately to bring the radiators up to standard is quite high: it ranges from 70 to 100 euros for each radiator, but it can also reach peaks of 200 euros, depending on the city and the type of condominium and plant. The final bill, therefore, can easily exceed a thousand euros per family and it will take time to recoup the investment: at least 5 or 6 years.
Then you have to take into account the tax breaks. If the intervention on the radiators is carried out in conjunction with the installation of a new condensing boiler, the 65% deduction can be requested for energy efficiency interventions.
