Telefonica relaunches for Gvt: Alierta-Bollorè meeting coming soon

Telefonica does not give up and relaunches on Gvt. As was in the general forecasts, the Spanish telephonic group led by Cesar Alierta is not giving up in the face of Telecom Italia's counter-offensive and intends to submit to Vivendì, which controls the Brazilian Gvt, new proposals both on the industrial contents of the operation and on the governance of Telecom Italia of which Telefonica remains the first shareholder for now.

For all these reasons Alierta requested an urgent meeting with Vivendi's number one, Vincent Bollorè, who is in the comfortable position of the balance between the two contenders for Gvt, ie Telecom Italia and Telefonica.

The new summit should take place ad horas, i.e. before the Vivendi board of directors scheduled for Thursday when the Bollorè group will carry out an initial survey of the Spanish offer and, if it is sent in time, also that of Telecom Italia which has already been illustrated directly to the French patron in the recent meeting in Sardinia.
