Telecom, Vignali (Ap): investment in Italy necessary, vetoes on Metroweb unacceptable

No vetoes on the development of broadband and on the participation of all operators in the ultra-broadband network company: this is what the parent company of Area Popolare maintains in reference to Telecom Italia in the Productive Activities commission of the Chamber

"The Government, with the strategic plan on ultra-broadband, has traced the course to create the conditions for the digitization of the country and the growth of our SMEs". Thus Raffaello Vignali, Popular Area Group Leader (Ncd-Udc) in the Productive Activities Commission of the Chamber of Deputies. For Vignali “all economic operators must do their part. But, for this, there must be no openings for crossed vetoes or aut-aut of any kind, especially by those who have part of the responsibility for the delay in the creation of ultra-broadband networks. Addressing resources in a single vehicle is the best way to maximize the investment, leaving the door open to any operator wishing to invest in Italy. With the country struggling in the last places for the diffusion of ultra-broadband in Europe and for its ability to attract foreign capital, we cannot afford the luxury of having monopolistic resurgences or improperly invoking a presumed Italian identity "
