Telecom buys back bonds for 750 million dollars

Telecom Italia repurchases bonds for 750 million dollars with the aim of optimizing debt maturities. The company announced a purchase offer for a total nominal amount of up to 750 million dollars on the bonds issued by Telecom Italia maturing in 2014 and 2015.

The securities concerned are “5.25% Notes due 2015”, “4.950% Notes due 2014” and “6.175% Notes due 2014” (in order of priority of acceptance) and for the first security a maximum subscription amount of 500 million. “Telecom Italia – reads a note – intends to finance the offer with its available liquidity”. The offer will expire on June 12th.
