Giuseppe Recchi, current president of Eni, is the candidate president of the list that will be proposed to the shareholders' meeting on April 16 for the Telecom Italia board of directors. The current CEO of Telecom, Marco Patuano, and the directors Tarek Ben Ammar (the French-Tunisian entrepreneur also present on the Mediobanca board of directors) and Jean Paul Fitoussi were confirmed.
But there are other names too. Proposed Baroness Denise Patricia Byrne Kingsmill, together with Flavio Cattaneo (CEO of Terna), Giorgina Gallo (Honorary President of L'Oreal Italy), Laura Cioli (CEO of Cartasi), Giorgio Valerio (former CEO of Unidad Editorial in Spain and RCS Newspapers and Rcs Digital in Italy), Luca Marzotto (CEO of Zignago), Elena Vasco, Paolo Fumagalli and Maurizio Dattilo. In reality, it is probable that the last three names will not enter the board of directors, to make room for the names of the minority lists. Telco's board unanimously opted for the shortlist. Telefonica's representatives did not propose names or participate in the consultations of recent days, but only approved the list drawn up today.
