Telecom Italia: the decisive board of directors slips, the title is the worst of Piazza Affari

The Telecom Board meeting scheduled for Thursday 19 September has been postponed. The board, as the president Franco Bernabè had underlined, was only expected but the summoning letters had not yet been sent. The next meeting of the telephone company's Board of Directors, as anticipated by Radiocor, is set for 3 October.

The Board of Telecom is called to examine the business plan. The postponement is probably due to the intention to precede the board meeting with some informal meetings attended by Telecom directors.

Meanwhile, Telecom Italia's share is close to the threshold of 0,6 euro (down by 1,07%) and is at the bottom of the Milan stock exchange on Piazza Affari. It is indeed the stock which, in the early hours of the afternoon, recorded the highest decline. The sales were triggered this morning by Citigroup's recommendation to sell the shares: the investment bank in fact changed its opinion from "neutral" to "sell".

The speculation is slowly deflating which supported the share in the first days of September: since the end of August, in fact, the shares had gained approximately 6%, driven by market expectations for an offer by Telefonica to acquire the shares held by the other Telco shareholders ( Intesa Sanpaolo, Generali and Mediobanca, who have the option of announcing their exit from the telco pact, which holds 22,4% of Telecom, by 28 September).
