Telecom Italia: less revenues but more profits

Telecom Italia returned to profit in the first half of 2014 for 543 million – In the meantime, however, revenues fell by 6,5% to 10,5 billion – Ebitda amounted to 4,3 billion, down on to the same period of the previous year, of 356 million euros (-7,6%), with an incidence on revenues of 41,2%

Telecom Italia: less revenues but more profits

Telecom Italy closed the first half of 2014 with revenues of €10,5 billion, down 11,2% or 6,5% in terms of organic change, calculated excluding the effect of changes in exchange rates and perimeter of consolidation.

Ebitda amounted to 4,3 billion, a decrease compared to the same period of the previous year, by 356 million euros (-7,6%), with an incidence on revenues of 41,2%, an improvement of 1,7 percentage points (39,5% in the first half of 2013).

In organic terms, Ebitda decreased by 242 million euros (-5,3%). Consolidated net profit amounted to 543 million euros (-1,4 billion in the same period of 2013 due to the write-down of goodwill). Industrial investments in the first half of 2014 amounted to 1,7 billion, with a decrease of 255 million euros compared to the first half of 2013.
