Nice massacre: 6 Italian victims

Five days after the Nice massacre, the number of confirmed Italian victims rises to six. After the recognition of the body of Mario Casati (90), the Farnesina announced that during the night the French authorities formalized the recognition of another four of our compatriots: Carla Gaveglio, Maria Grazia Ascoli, Gianna Muset and Angelo D 'Augustine. The death of the Italian-American Nicolas Leslie has also been confirmed, even if his body has not yet been found.

All traces of Carla Gaveglio had gone missing after her daughter Matilde herself had said that she had seen her mother for the last time as she was being loaded into an ambulance.

The families have been informed and are receiving assistance from the staff of the Italian consulate and the Crisis Unit. The Foreign Minister, Paolo Gentiloni, expressed "closeness and solidarity with the families and friends of the victims of the barbaric attack".
