Standard & Poor's: the elections do not change the Italian rating

The result of the Italian elections, and the consequent doubts about governance, they will not have "implications on the country's rating". This was stated by the European manager for sovereign debt ratings of Standard & Poor's Moritz Kraemer, in the context of the Euromoney conference underway in London.

According to the rating agency, the elections will not have repercussions on Italian fiscal policy, which will remain unchanged. The real challenge for our country, according to Kraemer, is growth. At present, the rating that Standard & Poor's assigns to Italian debt stands firm to BBB+, with a negative outlook.
