Surprise: Mario Monti is the most clicked character on the web in Italy in December

Mario Monti more and more character of the moment. After receiving the unanimous approval of Europe and the international community, and having also been appreciated across national borders (with a few exceptions, it is always difficult to please everyone), the Prime Minister also revealed himself to be the star of the web in Italy in month of December. In fact, according to a survey conducted by the Web Profile Project, he is the most clicked character on Italian search engines in December, with a 19,4% share.

Even more outstanding feat when you consider that Monti is the only representative of the political and economic world in the top ten, filled mostly with the usual names from the entertainment world, from Belen Rodriguez to Jovanotti (unfortunately very popular on the day of the accident in Trieste, in which one of his collaborators lost his life), from Laura Pausini to Fiorello, to Madonna.

The only character halfway between entertainment and politics is Beppe Grillo, who occupies eighth position. To report a peak of interest for a representative of the Monti government, Welfare Minister Elsa Fornero, on 5 December, when his tears at the presentation of the economic maneuver hit the international media and piqued the interest of our navigators. Michele Santoro was also very popular during the broadcast of his program "Servizio pubblica".
