Sorgenia: ok to the half-yearly

The Board of Directors of Sorgenia, which met in Milan, approved the financial statements for the first half of 2017 of the company and the consolidated financial statements of the industrial group to which it belongs.

The results achieved can be attributed to the good performance of the production plants on the energy markets and to the greater efficiency of all the operating structures.

During the first half of 2017, Sorgenia generated more than 100 million euros of cash, which allowed for a further sharp reduction of the Group's net financial debt at 30 June 2017, to 795 million euros compared to 883 million euros at December 31, 2016 and 1.033 million euros at December 31, 2015.

Gianfilippo Mancini, Chief Executive Officer of Sorgenia, stated: “The first half of this year confirmed the positive trend of 2016 with improvements also compared to the same period last year. It is the tangible sign of the effectiveness of the work carried out over the years, which today allows Sorgenia to invest in new technologies and new services for customers. We can count on a fleet of plants for the production of modern and efficient energy, therefore competitive on the market even in the long term. In customer acquisition we are achieving important results through our web offer for families, to which we will soon add the launch of new offers also for businesses, combining price convenience with the company's new digital soul”.
