Sky Italia has a new CEO: Andrea Zappia. The Nes Corporation announced it in a note. The manager, who until now held the position of managing director customer group of BSkyB, assumes the new role with immediate effect. Zappia takes over from Tom Mockridge, who has led Sky Italia since its inception and has now been appointed chief executive news international.

L'Italiano joined BSkyB in February 2010 leading the sales, marketing and operations department. Previously he had worked in Sky Italia for seven years. Before that, he had held various senior management roles at companies such as Ferrari, Fila and Procter & Gamble.
