Black Friday is upon us. On Friday 24 November, e-commerce sites but also physical stores will be literally invaded by offers, discounts and promotions that even reach 70%. Thousands and thousands of products, from clothing to technology, will be available at convenient prices for an annual appointment not to be missed for anyone intending to buy something while saving on the real cost.
Black Friday: what is it
Black Friday, "black Friday" in Italian, is a day that all over the world becomes a metaphor for unmissable discounts. It has now become a tradition all over the world, but its birthplace lies in the USA, where every year, the day after Thanksgiving (which falls on the fourth Thursday of November) kick off the season Shopping Christmas.
To understand the extent of the event, it is enough to cite some data from the American National Retail Federation, according to which, in 2016, 99 million people (there were as many as 102 million in 2015) made purchases throughout the Thanksgiving weekend.
This "tradition" has only arrived in Italy for a few years, but it immediately made its way into the hearts of consumers. So much so now does not correspond to a single day, but the "sales" were also extended to the previous and following days.
It should also be emphasized that Black Friday will be followed by the so-called Cyber Monday, which this year falls on November 27th and is a day dedicated exclusively to online store discounts, giving a second chance to those who were unable to take advantage of the previous Friday's sales.
Black Friday on Amazon
It will be above all Amazon that will be the master during Black Friday will offer discounts for about two weeks in all its categories: Electronics, IT, Home and Kitchen, Clothing, Sports, Video Games, DIY, Toys, Baby, Office Products, Books, Music, etc.
Last year Amazon recorded a worldwide sales record, equal to 12 products purchased per second, 1,1 million products sold in just 24 hours. But this year the duration of the discounts will even be extended until November 13.
Amazon is especially convenient for Prime users who will have the opportunity to find out about the offers 30 minutes earlier than "normal" customers, thus being able to take advantage of them sooner.
Black Friday, from Ikea to Mediaworld: the best offers
But as mentioned earlier, Black Friday isn't just about Amazon.
Just to give an example, if you need furniture or household items, Ikea will offer strong discounts throughout the weekend, i.e. from 24 to 26 November.
Also worth mentioning Groupon, which allows you to purchase offers on stays and Ryanair which offers discounts on flights in January, which can be purchased for 4,99 euros.
Do you need appliances? Until Thursday 23 November ePrice will make 60 products available at 99 cents for an hour. To these will be added the normal discounts for the real Black Friday.

- Experts: 24 November.
For those who want to buy a good book, a vinyl, a DVD, etc., Feltrinelli e Giunti will offer discounts throughout the week.
Finally, also keep an eye on the sales on perfumery and clothing sites such as Sephora, Zalando e Asses.
