Sanremo 2016: the Stadio win everything, Michielin second, Caccamo-Iurato third

The Stadio take their revenge on Sanremo. The 66th edition of the Sanremo Festival ended with the surprise victory of Gaetano Curreri's band which also managed to establish itself in televoting, beating Francesca Michielin (second) and the Kermess favourites, Caccamo-Iurato, who arrived in third place.

After several attempts "gone wrong", the State win almost everything that could be won: they are also awarded the Bigazzi award for best music and that of the TV and web press room named after the great Lucio Dalla. The critics decide instead to reward the legend Patty Pravo.

Sanremo 2016 therefore closes with tears and a voice broken by Curreri's emotion who sings Un giorno mi dirai, a piece in typical "Stadio" style that has stood out over all the others since early evening.

“Not only a mature audience knows us, – commented the singer during the press conference following the triumph – a young audience comes to our concerts, in love with our music for many years and sees in us a real band that makes music well, for many years he has been writing pieces for others, he works for all those who ask him. We take care of everything related to music. Today is Valentine's Day, we are in love with music, it is through music that the four of us have found a bond".
