ART & FINANCE is the title of the meeting held this afternoon, 20 January in San Marino (Grand Hotel San Marino, Conference Hall, Viale Onofri 31, City of San Marino). The event sponsored by the Secretariat of State for Education and Culture, the Secretariat of State for Foreign Affairs, the Secretariat of State for Tourism, in collaboration with AEREC, the European Academy for Economic and Cultural Relations, is promoted by the San Marino-Italy Association.

A highly specialized moment dedicated to those who believe in the opportunities linked to art, in the awareness of illustrating to the public how the art market can "become" an economy and a driving force for the development of the tourism-culture combination which San Marino needs to steps forward with an international audience.

After the institutional greetings of Andrea Negri, President of the San Marino-Italy Association and of Robert Tassinari, AEREC District President, the work will be led by Marika Lion, expert in the art market and curator of archives and private collections.

Marika Lion in addition to moderating the meeting, he will introduce the theme of the art market “Art is a subject that interests everyone, one approaches it for pleasure and then discovers that it can also become an investment. Paintings, sculptures, photographs or rare art objects are part of the family heritage portfolio, both to diversify and to protect one's heritage”. In this context, here is the importance of having consultancy and strategic planning of family assets, through precise tools and companies such as the Family office.

Michael DiMario – President of OIKO TRUSTEE SpA, Commercial Director and Attorney of Europa Trust SpA of Florence. He will deal with the theme of the Trust and the management of family assets in generational transitions with particular reference to historical-artistic assets.

Roberto Baggio – Chartered accountant and assistant in tax law and international tax law at the University of Venice, he will deal with the tax and tax issue of works of art "Investing in works of art can be an opportunity, as well as a passion, from the perspective to best apply the principle of diversification. It will explain “how the collector can manage and possibly protect himself against the legal risks relating to the purchase, possession and transfer of works of art. In particular, the purchase of a work of art requires that particular attention be paid to the provenance, authenticity, demonstration of the legitimacy of the seller to dispose of it, the presence of constraints of a public nature and these issues must be adequately addressed in sales contracts.
