Sace will pay a substantial extraordinary dividend to Cassa depositi e prestiti on the eve of the announced privatization of the company led by Alessandro Castellano. This was announced by Il Sole 24 Ore which had anticipated how the assembly of the group, active in credit insurance and export assistance, had given the go-ahead for the distribution of an extra coupon of one billion euros.

The resources thus obtained will be used to support the CDP which, last year, took over 100% of Sace from the MEF for a value of 6 billion euros.

The Cassa Depositi e Prestiti will therefore be destined to decrease significantly in the company's capital. According to the road map indicated in recent weeks by the Minister of Economy, Fabrizio Saccomanni, Sace would in fact outline the transfer of a controlling stake equal to 60% (which, given the latest estimates on the market, could be worth well over 4 billion of Euro).

However, in the last few days, as for Fincantieri, which also passed from the Treasury to CDP with the transfer of Fintecna to the latter, the hypothesis of a listing on the Stock Exchange has made its way, for which it is probable that Sace will soon start the research of a financial advisor who takes care of the operation.

According to rumors collected among insiders, many institutional investors are already ready to grab a share of the group.
