SACE: 8 million guarantee for the new Proma plant

SACE guaranteed a 8 million euro loan granted by Cariparma to support the growth in Brazil of Proma, a Caserta-based company leader in the cold forming of steel for the automotive sector, specialized in seating structures, present in 10 countries around the world, with at least one office in each continent and 16 production plants. The operation will contribute to the realization of a new production plant in Goiana (Pernambuco), located next to that of Fiat Brazil, of which Proma is one of the main suppliers.

Brazil represents a market of great interest for companies in the motor vehicle sector, with a turnover of approximately 52,4 billion dollars in 2013 (35% of which represented by imports) and growing by 7,7% compared to 2012. Italy is Brazil's seventh trading partner and the second in the EU area after Germany, where exports to the carioca country are mainly composed of instrumental mechanics (37,3%), motor vehicles (14,8%) and chemical products (8%). An important partnership in this context, fully reflected in the existing commitments of SACE that, with an exposure of approximately 1,4 billion and an office in São Paulo, finds the third foreign market in its portfolio in the green-gold country. In 2012, SACE operations grew by 13,2% compared to the previous year, mainly in the infrastructure, telecommunications and instrumental mechanical sectors.
