The Argentine Embassy in Rome is carrying out the Campaign for the Right to Identity aimed at searching for the children of people who disappeared during the Argentine military dictatorship between 1976 and 1983, who could be living in Italy today.
The exhibition GIR – Inner geographies. Reconstruction, scheduled until December 20 2013, aims to support the tireless struggle of the Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo – Grannies of the Plaza de Mayo – which has been going on for 36 years. Their tenacity made it possible to find 109 grandchildren, mostly found in Argentina and a small number abroad.
Jorgelina Molina Planas is a young artist, one of the first granddaughters found by the Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo Association. The exhibition focuses on the reconstruction of the artist's identity through various languages: paintings, drawings, installations, collages, photographs, documents, letters and objects.
The exhibition is organized by the Argentine Embassy in Italy and is promoted by the Department of Culture, Creativity and Artistic Promotion of Rome Capital - Department of Culture Service Planning and Management of Cultural Spaces.

Moni Blues. Il teatro di Moni Ovadia, the first volume entirely dedicated to the theatrical-musical work of Moni Ovadia, especially between 1987 and 2009, is written by Paola Bertolone, researcher and professor of Theater History at the University of Siena and published by UniversItalia publishing house, directed by Manuel Onorati.
Introduced by the preface by Moni Ovadia The theatrical spectator of himself, the volume is embellished with numerous images and photos from the scene, including some taken by Maurizio Buscarino and draws on interviews and talks that took place with many of Moni Ovadia's collaborators.
To the presentation and greetings of Manuel Onorati, director of the publishing house UniversItalia, and Paolo Ruffini, head of the Casa dei Teatri Office, who will moderate the meeting, followed by speeches by Moni Ovadia himself, Stefano Geraci, professor of History of Theater and Performing Arts (Roma Tre University), by Alessandro Portelli, professor of Anglo-American literature (University "La Sapienza" of Rome) and by Paola Bertolone.

CAGE, SCREAM OF THE TALKING BODY
17-18-19 December at 20.30 rehearsals open to the public
The laboratory, edited by Cathy Marchand, will focus on the concept of "imprisonment" understood as a physical impediment, but also as a cage of our mind.
The investigation will start from the totem show of the Living Theater, The Brig, where a marine prison was represented, in which man was reduced to a shouted number, to an obedience machine.
The work on stage will be based on the vision of the biomechanical body, to then move on to a poetry theater where a dreaming body will realize that form, that creation of a metaphysical cage in which the actor will let himself fall, yielding without reservations.
The workshop, open to a maximum of 25 participants, is intended for actors, performers, students of theater or university schools, but also for high school students, over 18 years of age, for an indistinct public who want to experiment with work on the body and the word , combining a creative feeling with a collective act.

On 18 December 2013 at 18.30, in the Sala Santa Rita, exhibition space of the Department of Cultural Policies of Rome Capital, the artist Giuseppe Tabacco will present to the public the catalog of the personal exhibition created, in the same space, last year (22 May – June 8, 2012).
The curator of the exhibition Raffaella Rinaldi and the art historian Costantino D'Orazio, both authors of the texts in the catalog, will intervene.
The meeting will be presented by Roberta Perfetti, head of Sala S. Rita.

Cesare Silvi: Mirrors and the sun: from Archimedes to the current large concentrated solar thermal plants
The presentation aims to invite reflection on how much time and how much human intelligence have been necessary, since the legend of Archimedes' burning mirrors began to spread, before arriving, at the beginning of this third millennium, to build in the sunny desert Californian Mojave, the Ivanpah solar power plant, the largest in the world to produce steam and electricity from the energy radiated by the Sun.
Cesare Silvi was one of the founders in 2004 of the Group for the history of solar energy and promoter of the establishment in 2006 of the National Committee for the History of Solar Energy (CONASES). During his tenure as president of the International Solar Energy Society (ISES) (1999 – 2001) he supported its strengthening of the traditional technical-scientific aspects and at the same time promoted its attention on the history, art and culture of solar energy , in the belief that the greatest challenge for the widespread use of this source in industrially and technologically advanced societies, with heavy energy consumption from fossil and fissile sources, is precisely a challenge of a cultural nature. He has degrees in mechanical engineering and nuclear engineering.
