Cheese starts again: everyone in Bra in September for top-of-the-range cheeses

Appointment from 17 to 20 September 2021 in Bra for Cheese, the great international event dedicated to raw milk cheeses and milk forms, organized by the City of Bra and Slow Food.

The focus of 2021 is the animal kingdom and the variety of connections with human actions, from dairy breeds that guarantee income to microbiodiversity, from bees to all the other pollinators essential for pasture farming. In fact, without them, the infinite dairy biodiversity that can be felt at Cheese and which represents an important piece of human history would not exist. Once again, therefore, cheeses are testimonials of an avant-garde that has its roots in the solid and millennial relationship between human beings, animals and the environment.

Great is the expectation for the event, both on the part of the protagonists of Cheese and on the part of the restaurant and hospitality world of the area. The four days of September, in fact, confirms itself as the perfect stage in which shepherds, cheese makers, cheese makers and affineurs tell, through their products, production methods that focus on the quality of raw materials, animal welfare and landscape protection. They will be present in the large Cheese Market and among the Slow Food Presidia stalls, but not only. The Gran Sala dei Formaggi and the Enoteca are not to be missed, where you can combine a good glass of wine with dozens of natural and raw milk cheeses. Taste Workshops are dedicated to those who want to rediscover the pleasure of learning more and more (in Bra and Pollenzo, a few kilometers from Bra, at the Banca del Vino), with cheeses paired with bread, wines and beers, and educational courses of Slow Food designed for young and old. While for those who want to end the day in style, they can book dinners hosted in the rooms of the Pollenzo Agency, with chefs selected by Slow Food and their personal interpretation of the territory and biodiversity through all forms of milk.

As always, the event is colored by the regional interpretations proposed by the Street Kitchens and by the original preparations expressed by the Food Trucks, all enriched by the selected breweries, expression of the best Italian brewing experimentation.

Finally, the Cheese formula remains the same for 2021: access to the event is free and will be managed safely. The complete program can be consulted online at www.slowfood.it from mid-July.
