Milano is confirmed, for the second consecutive year, at the top of the ranking Life quality of the Sun 24 Hours.

Compared to past years, the indicators on which the 2019 ranking is based have risen from 42 to 90, divided into six macro-areas: "Wealth and Consumption", "Environment and Services", "Justice and Safety", "Business and Employment" , “Demography and Society”, “Culture and Leisure”. Among the new factors taken into account in determining the positions are the climate, household debt, sexual violence and extortion reported by the population.

In 2019, different factors gave the boost to the Lombard capital: a increase in residents which has been going on steadily since 2012 and the lifestyle always greener and smarter. And again, thecultural offer continuously increasing, i development plans of the suburbs that generate work and wealth, so as to attract new inhabitants. “While the demographic decline is spreading inexorably throughout Italy – he underlines The Sun 24 hours – and the largest cities record – almost all – a constant decline in residents, Milan goes against the tide. 

The cities of the Alpine arc follow: Bolzano (second), Trento (third) and Aosta (fourth). Record-breaking provinces, each in several categories: Bolzano in «Demography and society»; Trento in «Environment and services»; Aosta in «Wealth and consumption».

The 2019 ranking photographs the positive performances of all the large Italian cities: Roma (18th), climbs three positions compared to last year's ranking, Napoli is 81st has gained 13 positions compared to 2018, while Bari is 67th, up 10 places.
