Productivity, Plaice: 1,6 billion incentive may increase

Businesses and trade unions must take a step forward "on productivity". On the plate "there are 1,6 billion, but it could be more". This was stated by the Minister of Economic Development, Corrado Passera, urging the social partners to find a definitive agreement on the "reduction of automatisms, effective increases in productivity and valorisation of the second-level contract".

“We have asked the social partners to make that piece of productivity that derives from territorial second-level contracts. The productivity differential costs our manufacturing sector like 10 points of the financial spread with Germany”, said the minister speaking at the national assembly of the CNA. “If we had the same productivity we would have 70 billion more added value”.
