Fattoria Triboli of Florence, Irsap of Rovigo, Clean Air Europe of Lucca, Novamont of Novara and Esi of Rome are the five Italian companies that won the XNUMXth edition of the Environment Company Award, the national recognition for the greenest private and public companies. Together with them also the entrepreneur Sara Cecchetto of the Cecchetto Giorgio Agricultural Company who won the special Young Entrepreneur Award and the start-up Itamia Engineering winner in the new innovative start-up category. Special mention for the Best Product category assigned by the jury to Conceria Pasubio of Arzignano. The Award is promoted in Italy by the Chamber of Commerce of Venice Rovigo, with the collaboration of Unioncamere and the patronage of the Ministry of Ecological Transition
For this edition, the jury selected the winners from 74 nominations from 13 regions of Italy and assigned the prize according to the four categories provided: Better Management, Best Product, Best Process/Technology, Better International Cooperation, plus special prizes “Young Entrepreneur", reserved for business owners or managers under 40 (already competing for one of the four categories) and the "Innovative start-up” for highly innovative and research projects dedicated to eco-sustainable development.
All projects Fattoria Triboli Simple Agricultural Society of Impruneta was awarded the prize for the "Best Management" category (micro and small enterprises). For the medium and large enterprises item in the "Best Management" category, the award went to Irsap, a company from Arquà Polesine active in the production of radiators for domestic heating, air exchange systems and home automation applied to heating.
Instead, the Bulciago company wins the "Best Product" award Clean Air Europe, active in the industrial fumes filtration and abatement sector. And precisely in this category, the Jury deemed it worthy of mention Pasubio tannery in Arzignano.
While the Novara company, Novamont, was awarded the prize for the "Best Process - Technology" category with the Mater Biotech project, the first industrial plant in the world dedicated to the production of butanediol through a process of fermentation of renewable raw materials and no longer from a process of oil.
For the "Best international cooperation" category, the award went to the Roman company This with the installation project of a solar mini-grid storage system for the electrification of the Gitaza market, in Burundi, one of the poorest countries in the world.
The "Special Young Entrepreneur Award" was assigned to Sara Cecchetto, sustainability manager of the Cecchetto Giorgio di Vazzola farm which competed in the category Best management for sustainable development. And finally, to win the first edition of the special prize "Innovative Start-up" is Itami Engineering of Chioggia.
