Popolare di Bari: subsidized loans and mortgages for members in difficulty

Banca Popolare di Bari has decided to launch a series of measures "on exclusive conditions" in favor of its members, for some time unable to sell their shares, with the aim of "strengthening support to the local area and to the families who believed in the Bank and supported it in its more than sixty years of growth".

Among the proposed measures stands out above all a planfond of 350 million aimed at financing two types of personal loans. The first will have a maximum amount of 10 thousand euros, with a duration of up to 10 years and "the possibility of benefiting from a grace period (i.e. the payment of an installment "contained" with interest only) of a maximum of 5 years, at a rate of 0,90 .XNUMX% (without prejudice to the eligibility requirements based on creditworthiness). The operation is renewable upon expiry”, explains the bank.

The second loan will reach up to 40 thousand euros and will have a rate of 3%. Also in this case the duration will be extendable up to 10 years and there will be the possibility of benefiting from a grace period of up to 5 years.

Popolare di Bari members will also be able to have a voucher available which will allow access to a mortgage up to 40 years, for a maximum amount of 300 thousand euros, with a spread of 0,75% for the first ten years and 1% for subsequent years. “In the event of disbursement of the mortgage loan, the stipulation of a Temporary Death Insurance policy is envisaged in favor of the borrower. A ceiling of 250 million euros is foreseen for this initiative”, explains the institute.

The package of measures also provides for the establishment of a voucher that will allow access to aun mortgage for the purchase and renovation of a house that can be opted for by the Members. The validity of the exercise of the option is equal to 24 months and the loan provides for a maximum duration of 40 years and for an amount up to 80% of the value of the mortgaged property up to a maximum of 300 thousand euros. The spread is fixed at 0,75% for the first 10 years and at 1% for the following ones. Finally set up a third party voucher for a Long Term Care Policy, also paid by the bank, which will provide for the disbursement of a monthly annuity in favor of the Member in the situations of non-self-sufficiency envisaged by the Company.

The Apulian institute has also approved the opening of a comparison table with the consumer associations committee for the resolution of cases worthy of immediate attention, among those of members in difficulty.
