“The meeting with the Commissioners of the Popolare di Bari did not produce any results. On the contrary, their behavior was one of clear closure and risks posing a serious threat to the continuation of the negotiations". The negotiations between the trade unions and the heads of the Apulian bank commissioner are still on the high seas, according to the words of Sabrina Brezzo, national secretary of First Cisl. “It is unacceptable – continued the union leader in a note – for documents relating to an important meeting to be sent the previous evening only at 22pm: we need clarity on the real will to confront. So far we have asked for the information necessary to understand the announced relaunch project, but we have not yet been provided with all of it. We are available to enter into negotiations but only in the mutual recognition of roles”.
"It is also essential - added Brezzo, especially in defense of the small shareholders of Banca Popolare di Bari - that the commissioners take a coherent position to protect both colleagues and shareholders, both victims of the villainous management that brought the bank to extraordinary administration. Alone guaranteeing a just refreshment to the shareholders it will be possible to address the appointment of the shareholders' meeting and re-establish the climate of confidence necessary to relaunch the bank”.
