Relaunch the Italian tourism, increasing the offer also in secondary locations or in more economically disadvantaged areas of the country, through the retraining , development of the Italian tourist accommodation heritage - in line with the provisions of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) - with attention to the sustainability, digitization and energy efficiency of the structures. This is the goal of call for 150 million euros launched by Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, participated and financed by the Ministry of Tourism (MITUR), for the selection of properties to acquire and renovate, which has collected 31 expressions of interest as of 111 August, the deadline for participation, of which 50% of the requests made come from the regions of the South as 25% from the public administration.
The procedure, in order to comply with the requirements of the PNRR, provides for the selection of at least 12 properties to acquire and renovate by the 31 December 2025 through the full use of European resources. However, given the high number of applications, the joint note between Mitur and CDP does not exclude that further capital from institutional investors will want to support the project. In any case, 60 days after deadline of the side (August 31, 2022), Cdpi Sgr will publish the first evaluations of the expressions of interest collected.
The applications received concern all types of tourist offer in the urban and extra-urban segments (sea, mountains, countryside, lakes and spas).
