THEZew index better than expected makes lists forget the uncertainties of the opening. In the middle of the day, the European stock exchanges are traveling in positive territory: Milan +0,68% with the spread at 278 basis points, Paris +1,03% which also celebrates the positive results of Danone (+4,76% for the stock), London +0,35% and Frankfurt +0,81%. From Germany came the data on the Zew index which measures expectations on the German economy which soared in February to 48,2 points from 31,5 in January against 35 expected by analysts. The indicator is at a three-year high.

La Spain today it assigned 4 billion euros of three- and nine-month bonds with slightly lower interest rates. In detail, the three-month bond for 885,69 million euro recorded an average yield of 0,421% (0,441% for the last similar issue in January), maturing on March 17, and the nine-month bond for 3,11 billion it has an average yield of 1,144% and expires on November 22nd.

THEOECD today announced that in the fourth quarter of 2012 economic growth decreased by 0,2%, thus marking a radical turnaround from the +0,3% recorded in the previous three months. On a trend basis, the decrease is equal to 0,7% (-1,2% in the third quarter). This is the first contraction in GDP since the collapse (-2,3%) suffered in the first quarter of 2009.

A Business Square it's positive the luxury driven by the good accounts of Prada. Salvatore Ferragamo rose by 2,7%, Tod's by 2,5% which also benefits from the promotion to neutral by Nomura. Also highlighted on the Ftse Mib are Bper +2,59%, Prysmian +2,29%, which celebrates new contracts for 45 million euros acquired from Jersey Electricity. The contracts concern the Normandie 3 interconnection, aimed at bringing electricity from France to the island of Jersey. Buzzi Unicem also performed well +1,91%. The banks were positive overall: Unicredit +1,04%, Intesa +0,66% and Mps +1,64%.

On the other hand, Fiat is down -1,51%, worst title of the Ftse Mib, after the new negative data on registrations in Europe. Bad also Telecom Italia -1,12% after the decision to deal exclusively with Cairo the sale of La7 denying a raise to Diego della Valle. Heavy drop for Ti Media (-8,21%) instead runs Cairo (+3,34%). Telco's board of directors is also scheduled today, which according to press sources expects to devalue the stake in Telo Italia and the start of negotiations for the redefinition of financial charges and the expiry of the 1,7 billion bond loan subscribed by the shareholders themselves.
