Pirelli: the Turin Philharmonic conducted by Micha Hamel plays in the factory

With the 2014 edition of the MITO SettembreMusica Festival, Pirelli once again hosted a concert in its factory in Settimo Torinese. After the success of the concerts in 2010 and 2011, it was the turn of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Turin, which under the direction of Micha Hamel will play Symphony n.1 in C major op. 21 and the Symphony n.7 in A major op. 92 by Ludwig van Beethoven.

The initiative is part of the support given by Pirelli - a supporter of MITO since 2007 - also to the appointments of the Turin edition of the festival and to the "MITO per la Città" program in Turin and demonstrates the bond that the company has always wanted to have with the territories that host their own industrial realities.

With the factory concert, the link between places of work and culture is also confirmed, recovering the sense of a European and Italian tradition and placing industry at the centre. The Settimo plant bears witness to how the factory has changed and grown, with the most sophisticated technologies. And listening to music can help to understand the profound meaning of the mutations in progress.
