It is the first time that there is a layer of vulcanised rubber compound in a ski. Obtained from a "recipe" studied by Pirelli engineers, it is combined with Fiberglass, triaxial glass fibre, a double layer of titanium, and a graphite sole. It comes from here “Great Shape”, a ski with plenty of sidecuts, hand-assembled by Blossom. The temples will be in seven colors that reflect the Pirelli F1 tyres. Limited edition of 110 pieces per colour, in honor of Pirelli Motorsport which turns 2017 in 110.
The project was launched today in Saint Moritz on the occasion of the inauguration of the Alpine Ski World Championships of which Pirelli itself, on the basis of an agreement with Infronts Sports and Media, secured sponsorship of the event for three editions.
