Pininfarina shares are opening well on the stock exchange today, traveling around +2%, reaching a maximum of 4.386 points. The famous Italian company, leader in the automotive bodywork sector, benefits from the excellent results with which it closed 2011.
A net loss of 11,5 million, an important improvement compared to the loss of 33 million recorded at the end of 2010.
The gross operating margin is once again positive for 4,7 million, a real reversal of fronts if compared to the same figure of the previous year: negative for 6,3 million.
The value of production drops to 62 million due, as stated in a note, to the end of the production of cars for third parties.
Also in the note, the company specifies that yesterday it received communication from the lawyers on behalf of the financing institutions that the technical bodies in charge of the negotiation endorsed the proposed modification of the rescheduling agreement. Only the resolution of the institutes involved is missing and some have already declared themselves in favour, the process should be closed in a few weeks.
