The massive downward revision of US oil in the first quarter weighs on the markets: -2,9%, a figure linked to the exceptional cold but which in any case reduces the growth prospects in 2014 of the largest economy on the planet.

Piazza Affari limits the decrease to 0,8%, Ftse Mib index at a quota. Paris -1,28%, London -0,69% and Frankfurt -0,71% are also bad. However, the stock markets closed in recovery compared to the lows of the day thanks to the performance of Wall Street, capable of turning positive despite the plunge in the GDP, the worst in the last five years. Optimism for the strength of the recovery prevails as shown by the latest data.

The S&P500 and Nasdaq indexes rise by 0,2%, Dow Jones +0,3%.

The Btp 10 recover, with a yield of 2,742%, spread at 148. The gap between the Bund and the US Bonds narrows. The dollar is weak.

For tomorrow, the market expects a new record in the 6-month Bot auction.

In Milan, among the blue chips, it should be noted the new collapse accused by MPS which, with a further decline of 19,79%, has come even closer to the issue price envisaged for the new shares (1 euro) in the context of the capital increase from 5 billion which will close on Friday'.

On the contrary, Bpm took flight, which closed up 6,18% after the Bank of Italy's decision to remove the institute's add-ons (additional capital requirements).

Among the other banks Intesa stable, Unicredit -1%. Banco Popolare drops by 0,3%. Mediobanca falls by 0,8% and Ubi Banca falls by 0,3%.

In practice unchanged Telecom +0,1% on the eve of the board of directors (and of the Telco board).

Finmeccanica is also slightly moved -0,1%.

The subsidiary Ansaldo Sts advanced by 1,2%, supported by the promotion of Natixis which raised the recommendation to Buy from Neutral.

Other industrialists are down: Fiat -1,7%. StM -1%.Prysmian -2,3%.

Bad day also for Autogrill -3,6% and utilities: Enel -1,6%, Enel Green Power -2,5%.

Even worse A2A – 2,7%. Saipem leaves 3% on the ground.
