Also slightly down Wall Street, which was weighed down by the weakness of the energy sector in a session with thin volumes: Dow Jones and S&P fell by 0,3%. During 2014 the S&P rose by 13%, the Nasdaq by 15%. The Dow Jones, held back by oil, advanced by 8,8%: it is the sixth consecutive year on the rise.
The descent of Saipem (-2,2%), after the official confirmation of the cancellation of the South Stream project. The Central Bank of China has acquired a 2,027% stake in the company. Oil companies close in the red. Eni retreats 1,4%, Tenaris it is equal. In Amsterdam Royal Dutch Shell fell by 1,6%, Total -2,2%.
The banks moved little: Unicredit, the most traded title of 2014, fell by 0,2%. Understanding -0,6%. Monte Paschi advances by 0,7%. Down Telecom Italy (-1,2%), Enel (-0,7%), A2A (-0,8%). Down too fca (-1,2%), unchanged Finmeccanica. Pirelli closes at +0,9%.
