Oil, yet another discovery by ENI: in Egypt, less than 300 km from Alexandria

Another important discovery for Eni. The national oil company just carried out one in the western Egyptian desert, 290 kilometers southwest of Alexandria in Egypt. The discovery occurred in the context of the Emry Deep exploration prospect, located in the Meleiha concession, and was defined in a "significant" press release.

It is still early days to estimate the size of the discovery, but the oil group has estimated that the size is estimated at between 150 and 250 million barrels of oil in place and will require further delineation wells. The new discovery confirms once again the significant exploration potential still present in the deep geological sequences of the Meleiha concession, enhanced thanks to the new 3D prospecting recently performed.
