Pensions, free accumulation of contributions: green light from the Government

The ok arrives to the INPS circular which explains how it will be possible to accumulate the contributions paid in different managements for free, i.e. INPS and professional funds - The technical problem on the different retirement requirements has been resolved with a two-phase solution

Il free accumulation of contributions paid to INPS and professional coffers is closer. The Ministry of Labor has given the green light to the INPS circular governing the measure introduced by last year's Budget Law.

The lack of the circular had so far blocked the possibility of accumulating free contribution periods with different managements. The delay had been caused by a significant technical problem, namely the fact that some funds have different retirement requirements than INPS.

In the event of higher requirements, the professional funds would have had to pay their pensions ahead of schedule and this would have risked endangering their balance sheets, whose sustainability by law must be guaranteed over a 30-year horizon.

The problem was solved with one step-by-step solution. The free accumulation will allow access to retirement according to INPS requirements, but the pension will be paid in two stages: will start onINPS, then the professional checkout will pay the allowance due to him upon achievement of the relevant requirements. In reality, the initial INPS check will not be a real pension, but an advance, therefore any supplements and social surcharges will not be paid.

An allocation included in the next budget law should guarantee coverage for the free accumulation of contributions.
