The long-awaited nominations for the 2017 Oscars have arrived. Good news also for Italy, which will be present at the awards ceremony to be held on February 26 in Los Angeles, with Gianfranco Rosi and his Fuocoammare, dedicated to Lampedusa. The documentary was selected in the five category of its category together with I'm your negro, A life animated, OJ: made in America, 13th.
The musical La la land by Damien Chazelle, to be released in our country on January 26, is hoarding nominations, with 14 nominations including best film, best actor and best actress. In the history of US cinema to date only All About Eve and Titanic have garnered 14 Oscar nominations.
In second place is Arrival by Denis Villeneuve and Moonlight by Barry Jenkins with eight nominations.
