Is called Matteo Cignetti, 19 years old, pupil of the École Hôtelièrand the Valle d'Aosta of Chatillon: with him the Italy team conquered the gold medal of the 2022 Young Chef Olympiad, beating a fierce competition from 42 countries from all over the world.

Last year student of the Ecole hotelière de Chatillon was awarded in live streaming during a ceremony of the organizing committee which is located in India.

Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, the competition was held in stages online.

The medals that the young champion pinned on his chest in a short time are impressive: he first won the title of best student in the regional championship, then best student in the Fabrizio Faccio trophy in June 2021, then best Italian student in 2021 and gold medal with the best overall result in the competition held last November in Treviso and now also the gold medal at the Olympics dedicated to young talents from all over the world.
