More bad news from OECD superindex. The indicator calculated by the Paris-based international body revealed that in October the crisis was felt differently in the various European countries: Italy is in the bracket of those that have suffered the hardest blow. The OECD area as a whole recorded a decrease of 0,3% compared to the previous month and of 1,9% on an annual basis. Our country, on the other hand, recorded a decrease of 0,6% on the month and 7% on the year.
Throughout the euro area, in Great Britain and Brazil, the composite leading indicators "continue to strongly indicate that economic activity is falling below long-term trends", notes the Parisian institution in a statement. In the Eurozone, the super-index fell by 0,7% on the month and by 5,1% on the year. The most negative monthly performance is that of Germany (-1,1% on month and -6,6% on year). In France, it fell by 0,7% on the month and by 4,9% on the year.
