OECD: unemployment in advanced countries stable at 7,9%, rising in Italy and the Eurozone

It remains stable the unemployment rate in OECD countries rose to 7,9% in September, as the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development itself states, while in the Eurozone the figure increased for the sixteenth consecutive month, reaching 11,6% from 11,5% in August.

Unemployment is also on the rise in Italy, where it has risen to 10,8%, from 10,6%. In the entire OECD area, the number of unemployed stood at 47,6 million units, 400 thousand less than in August, but a good 12,9 million more than four years ago. The unemployed young people, according to the Organization, are 11,6 million.
