Spread alarm. The differential between the yields of ten-year BTPs and German Bunds shot up again in the afternoon above 500 basis points (503 the peak reached). The yield of ten-year BTPs on the secondary market is 6,81%, while that of Bunds is 1,74%.

To cause the sudden rise in the figure were the disappointing accounts of JPMorgan Chase, which recorded a -23% in fourth quarter earnings weighed down by the lack of investment in debt securities due to the eurozone crisis.

So far the reliable data. However, the rumor that began to circulate on the markets regarding a possible downgrade of Italy by the Standard & Poor's rating agency, which could send the communication as early as this evening.
