New year, new Sabatini. The law providing for the bonus for the purchase of machinery for small and medium-sized enterprises, established for the first time in 2013 and refinanced several times, returns to this year's Stability Law through the new contributions granted by the Mise to facilitate five-year bank loans for the purchase of machinery, plant and equipment.
The resources allocated to SMEs that want to invest in industrial capital, also in innovation, total 560 million euro: the State contribution is equal to the interest calculated on the amortization plan in half-yearly installments at an annual rate of 2,75% for 5 years, which is the maximum duration of the loan. Not only that: the companies that apply and are included in the contribution can also request that the loan be covered by the state guarantee, through the SME Guarantee Fund, up to 80% of the total loan.
REQUIREMENTS – But which companies have access to the new Sabatini? All micro, small and medium-sized enterprises with operational headquarters in Italy, which are duly registered in the e which are not subject to voluntary liquidation or insolvency proceedings and are not in financial difficulty. Those who have received and then had to repay aid obtained illegally or incompatible with the European Commission are excluded. However, there is no restriction on the productive sector: agricultural businesses can also access as long as they make investments to purchase (including in leasing) the following capital goods: machinery; equipment; installations; capital goods for productive use; hardware, software and digital technologies.
PROCEDURE – The maximum duration of the loan is, as mentioned, five years, for an amount between a minimum of 20 thousand and a maximum of 2 million euros. The application is made directly on the website of the Ministry of Economic Development: once the form has been downloaded, the company will have to fill in the required documentation and sign the forms with the digital signature and send everything via PEC to the PEC address of the bank to which funding is requested, chosen from among those participating in the bonus. Once the investment has been made, the company must then certify its completion within the term of 60 days to the Ministry of Economic Development, which will provide for the disbursement of the contribution in several annual installments directly to the company.
RELAUNCH OF PATENTS AND TRADEMARKS – Sabatini 2017 is not the only novelty for SMEs: the notice relating to the tender for the granting of subsidies to small and medium-sized enterprises entered the Official Gazette on 29 December for brand promotion whose application for filing is prior to 1 January 1967. The intervention, conceived by the General Directorate for the Fight against Counterfeiting - Italian Patent and Trademark Office - of the Ministry of Economic Development is aimed at supporting the competitive capacity of SMEs through the relaunch and the economic enhancement of brands that represent a piece of our country's history.
the companies concerned will be able to apply from 4 April 2017. Also in this case, the concessions are aimed at the purchase of instrumental goods and external specialist services to promote the productive and commercial valorisation of the brand and related products/services, as well as the strengthening of the brand, its extension at a community level and /o international and the extension of its protection. The available resources amount to a total of 4,5 million euros.
