Nizza is Barbera: on 7 and 8 May in Nizza Monferrato the «Rossa Piemontese» takes center stage

Three hundred labels of Barbera d'Asti Do for tastingcg and Nizza Docg to accompany with the Roccaverano dop cheese and Monferrato cooked salami: Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 May after a two-year break, “Nizza è Barbera” returns to Nizza Monferrato with a renewed program and many new features. Protagonists 64 producers who present their wines but also the territory in all its articulated expressions.

The event kicks off with the Barbera Forum, at the Foro Boario, on Saturday morning. Then to follow countless initiatives for food and wine lovers.

At Palazzo Crova, headquarters of the Regional Enoteca of Nizza, it is possible to visit the Museum of Taste and the ART '900 Gallery. Expected one white night with open shops and gastronomic proposals in the city centre, where they will be set up three Wine Points – in piazza Garibaldi, in via Pio Corsi and in piazza XX Settembre – with a selection of Barbera d'Asti Docg and Nizza Docg labels for tasting in collaboration with the AIS sommeliers. Sunday by bike in the vineyards of Nizza, Ferrari car rally and arrival of the historic train, which travels through the landscapes of Langhe, Monferrato and Roero with "centoporte" carriages from the 30s. At 17pm, in the former Santissima Trinità church, there will be a Masterclass of six macro-areas of the Nizza Docg production area with six different producers. The tasting is led by the Nizza Producers Association, with the intervention of the president Stefano Chiarlo and the producers.

Nizza è Barbera is organized by the Municipality of Nizza Monferrato and the Regional Enoteca of Nizza with the support of the Barbera d'Asti and Monferrato Wines Consortium, the Nizza Producers Association and the Astesana Strada del Vino.
