Today, 31 October, is the last day to pay the Rai license fee without penalties, which can vary from 200 to 600 euros. The question goes without saying: "But this year, wasn't the rent in the bill?". Answer: yes, but those who have not received the charge on their electricity bill are obliged to do it themselves using an F24 form. And he has to do it by today, assuming he has a television at home (otherwise he can fill it out a self-certification model to declare that you are exempt).
Among the unfortunate people who have the hassle of having to pay independently are the residents of islands not connected to the national grid. Here is the list: Ustica, Tremiti, Levanzo, Favignana, Lipari, Lampedusa, Linosa, Marettimo, Ponza, Giglio, Capri, Pantelleria, Stromboli, Panarea, Vulcano, Salina, Alicudi, Filicudi, Capraia and Ventotene.
The same goes for those who live in the Municipalities of Anversa degli Abruzzi, Castel Del Monte, Pacentro, Rocca Pia and Santo Stefano di Sessanio, who have not received the fee charged in their electricity bills.
Then there are some special cases in which payment with F24 is due:
1) several families living in buildings where there is only one electricity meter, because a fee must be paid for each family nucleus;
2) children who live in their parents' second home and have their residence there, but have kept the electricity contract in the name of one of the parents;
3) porters who reside in the house made available by the condominium owner of the electricity utility.
The amount due for the whole of 2016 is 100 euros (but from next year it will drop to 90, as envisaged by the new budget law). If the fee is due for just one semester, the amount is 51,03 euros, while for three months it drops to 26,58 euros.
In the F24 form, one of the following tax codes must be indicated:
“TVRI” (for subscription renewal);
“TVNA” (for new subscription).
Payment can be made electronically on your bank's website, or via the “F24 web” or “F24 online” services for those registered on the Revenue Agency website. The paper model can be used at the branches of banks, Italian post offices or collection agents.
