This year the excellent products of our territory arrive directly in the homes of Italians. For the 2020 Holidays, various initiatives have been launched to support local producers and craft businesses affected by the pandemic, but also to offer Italians the opportunity not to give up good food and find it comfortably at home.

For those who want to indulge a journey through the flavors of Italy or make a "tasty" gift, you can opt for various e-commerce sites with home delivery of regional products. Here are some platforms where you can bring good food to our tables with a simple click.

Trazzere del Gusto

Trazzere del gusto, a Palermo-based company that deals with the selection and distribution of the island's agri-food products, has created an online site to encourage the purchase of these niche products during the Christmas period.

It is a showcase where handcrafted products are displayed: from Carlo Amodeo's black bee honey to Ustica lentil, from Girgentana goat cheese to the preserves of the Ferrante brothers up to Orange Moon's homemade panettone. A way to relaunch the economy of a sector compromised by the health crisis and not to give up the taste of typical Sicilian biodiversity products.

The tender of Arsial, (P) orto Sicuro, was created to support Lazio companies and promote quality, through the granting of non-repayable grants to support small regional agricultural companies that have suffered the effects of the pandemic not only on their activities, but above all on the marketing of their products through natural channels, such as deliveries to restaurants.

What better spokesperson than DOL (Denomination of Origin from Lazio)? The project by Vincenzo Mancino born to enhance the small productions of the area. Mancino's company will take care of the distribution and marketing of the parcels, in compliance with product quality and health and hygiene standards, so that Italians do not have to give up the taste of Lazio products.

The winning projects are: “The excellence of Lazio at home"and "Platform for small wineries in Lazio”. For a total of 5 farms, including two wineries (Neri and La Luna del Casale) and three food outlets (Maselli, Fattoria La Frisona and Macelleria Rossi). The products will be packaged in 4 types of (P)orto Sicuro branded parcels and sold by DOL through its channels. You can choose between green, blue, red and gold packages with costs ranging from 50 to 110 euros, with a variety of assortments including meats, preserves, wines, cheeses and extra virgin olive oil.

The awarded companies are: the Giorgio Maselli Agricultural Company, an oil producer that mainly cultivates the Itrana variety, near the Lepini Mountains; the Fattoria La Frisona by Andrea Colagiacomo, a livestock company

DOL and La Pecora Nera Editore

The creator of DOL, Vincenzo Mancino together with La Pecora Nera Editore – a food and wine publishing house active in Rome, Milan and Turin – have created an e-commerce site aimed at gourmets.

You can choose over 200 products of excellence from small producers in the region: from cured meats to cheeses but also liqueurs and fresh pasta. Of note i BOX, or selections of associated products by category (meats, cheeses and wines), or the DOL FISH, a box of fish already filleted and assembled according to the availability and seasonality of the product (delivered every Wednesday). There is also the section dedicated to Christmas, thanks to assorted packs, or alternatively, you can give Gift Cards without constraints for shopping on the site.

DOL's e-commerce philosophy is based on 4 principles: RESPECT people and the environment, SHORTEN distances, REJECT the process of food globalization that has invaded people's gastronomic culture and, lastly, HANDS DOWN traditions to the new generations local food.

Ciociaria Pipolà

The e-commerce portal brings together over 20 agri-food companies in the lower Lazio region. You can buy pre-made Christmas packs or customize them according to your preferences.

Pipolà's offer is therefore wide and varied, with four types of packaging: small, medium, large and luxury (the package with the top of the Ciociara goodness). From extra virgin olive oil to cured meats and cheeses up to the very tasty DOP of our territory: the Cannellino Bean of Atina and the Pepper of Pontecorvo. But the choice doesn't end there, there are also vegetables in oil, honey and organic jams, wines, craft beers, bubbles and panettone, including the one awarded by Gambero Rosso as the best Artisanal Panettone 2019: the Dolcemascolo Panettone.

Typicum

The startup from Salerno allows a gastronomic journey through the flavors of our country from the comfort of home. The selection of producers is based on three parameters: sustainability, reliability and quality.

The products are placed inside the boxes created specifically for food transport, so as to guarantee the freshness and quality of the products. From North to South, the goal is to offer the best of Italian cuisine by giving small local producers the opportunity to reach everyone's homes, given the impossibility of moving around the area.

Italian My Food

The online platform to buy the best food and wine production of the Langhe and Roero. A territory recognized by Unesco as a World Heritage Site, which combines excellent wines with a centuries-old culinary tradition.

Unlike other e-commerce sites, Italian My Food offers Piedmontese dishes, carefully supervised by chef Stefano Paganini. All by choosing fresh and genuine ingredients at km 0.
