“Naples book city. Read a new story” until Sunday

The Book Fair opened in Naples this afternoon, held right in the heart of the historic center of the Neapolitan city, at San Domenico Maggiore. The event is called “Naples book city. Reading a new story” was organized by the Liber@ Arte Committee, which includes the publishers Diego Guida, Alessandro Polidoro and Rosario Bianco.

It will be possible to access the event from 10 to 22 every day until next Sunday and the cost of the ticket amounts to 4 euros, even if there are various types of discounts. There will also be a nice space dedicated to children, laboratory and reading activities at a cost of 1 euro, where it will be possible to leave room for free expression, for storytelling and tactile materials will be used to rewrite the great childhood classics.With the initiative "A pending book" it will be possible to give a book to public libraries.

During the day of May 24, at 17,30, there will be the formal ceremony with the cutting of the ribbon, which will be attended by various institutions from Roberto Fico, the current president of the Chamber, to the President of the Campania Region, Vincenzo De Luca , to the mayor Luigi De Magistris.

Simultaneously at the Monumental Complex of San Domenico Maggiore at 17.00 the Pietà de Turchini Foundation will present its publishing house "Turchini Edizioni" and the record series "Protagonists and Myths of the Naples Music School". The photographer Mimmo Jodice, Paologiovanni Maione and Mariafederica Castaldo, respectively member of the scientific committee and director of the Foundation, will be present.

The event will then be opened by a forum “Will culture save the South? A divided country invests in the new generations" and then a conversation between Marco Boato, the author of "The long '68 in Italy and in the world" and Enrico Deaglio, author of "Patria 1967-1977" Gigi and Ross will perform in the evening in the Library room 1, while in the cloister room there will be a reading with Enzo Moscato and in the Chapter room Maurizio De Giovanni will read a preview of the passages of his new book.
