Moody's revises the Italian GDP upwards

The rating agency brought Italy's rating for 2015 in the range of up to +0,5% - Unemployment, however, remained unchanged, which will still be around 12-13%.

Moody's revises the Italian GDP upwards

Moody's he raised the forecasts for growth of Italy's GDP, bringing them within the range of 0,0/1% from the -0,5/+0,5% band indicated last February and in November. This is what emerges from the quarterly Global Macro Outlook Report released today by the US rating agency. However, the prediction of one remains unchanged unemployment at 12-13% as the central scenario both this year and next. Also confirmed the estimate for the Italian GDP in 2016 at 0-1% as in February.

The agency, which revised growth for the entire eurozone to +1,5% from +1% in 2015 thanks to the impetus given by the drop in the euro and in oil prices, also forecasts an increase in German GDP to +1,5/2,5% for both 2015 and 2016 against the estimates of +0,5/1,5% in February for the current year and 1/2% for the next. For France, the 2015 forecast has improved to 0,5/1,5% from 0,0/1% in February, while the same estimate is confirmed for 2016 (0,5/1,5%).
